Found poem - Kenzie

Never

I will never forget
The first night May 1944
That ruined my life forever
The first time I entered
A concentration camp
The first time I witnessed the flames
The first time I witnessed death
Someone being hung
Children and adults
Scared faces
Everyday I thought to myself
Will I ever get out of here
Why would my god
My eternal master
Let something this horrible
Happen to us Jews

  1. I really like you poem. I think the strongest verse in your poem is where you wrote about God and how that person was mad that God because God was allowing all this to happen to them.

  2. I like how you begin to describe the journey that was taken at the very beginning of your poem. You say the first time of things and what began to ruin lives and hope. It also shows how those things are stuck in their minds now and they will never forget.
